Judge Alan Troy of the District Court of Western Australia was born in England and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wales . In 1990 he was called to the Bar predominantly defending criminal cases. In 2002 he relocated to Western Australia working with both the Commonwealth and state DPP. In 2010 he commenced practice as a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers.
